the 2.0 Escape transmission is the same for a manual, not sure for automatic.
For AUTOMATIC transmission the manual recommends genuine Honda ATF (naturally), but the 'Haynes Repair Manual' states that Dexron III, is a satisfactory alternative.

If your Accord is an automatic, use the Honda automatic transmission fluid. With a manual, the Honda manual transmission fluid. I'd strongly suggest using genuine Honda fluid over a substitute.

If you mean for a manual transmission, it calls for Mopar manual transmission fluid but it is very expensive. You can use Mobil1 10w-30 extended mileage oil as a direct replacement. About $7.75 qt.
According to the shop manual, an 02 Hyundai Accent Automatic transmission takes 6.7 litres of genuine Diamond SP-II ATF. Its the same transmission for both engine sizes.
