Piston wall clearance on KT-100, KT 100 Yamaha Kart Race engines should be .025" max. I currently have one running down in the .018" range turning out 14,000 rpm.
Hope this helps. And please correct me if im wrong. thx
I want
.0012" to .0019" or .03mm to .05mm
I like mine around 390-410 degrees Fahrenheit, no higher.
bumping clearance is the clearance between piston and head ,piston and crank endside
most auto mechanic preferred .002 clearance from piston skirt to sleeve
What is the valve clearance for a 2002 yamaha kodiak 400 4x4?
clearance valve of 225 Yamaha
To set the valve clearance on a Yamaha Big Bear 350, first, ensure the engine is cold and then remove the valve cover. Rotate the engine to set the piston at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for the cylinder you are adjusting. Use a feeler gauge to measure the clearance between the valve stem and the rocker arm, adjusting the clearance by loosening the lock nut and turning the adjustment screw as needed. Finally, recheck the clearance and reassemble the valve cover.
uh..... anywhere from 14-20! it really depends because you can blueprint them, and different can or pip, clutch, piston, carb, big car =faster.
On a Yamaha 1980 XS400 the valve clearance for the inlet valve should be 0.0003 inches. The valve clearance for the exhaust should be 0.006 inches.
Piston ring gap.
Well...... you need A LITTLE bit of clearance for the gas mixture to lubricate the piston and cylinder. Plus your piston expands when it gets hot.
