What kind of license do you need in California to drive a flat bed tow truck?

If it has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 26,001 lbs. or more, it requires a Class B CDL. If at any point you'll be towing a trailer which brings the combined truck and trailer to a Gross Combined Weight Rating of 26,001 lbs. or more and the vehicle in tow itself has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 10,001 lbs. or more, then a Class A CDL is required. There is no exception to this - CDL requirements are a matter of federal law.If the vehicle itself has a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 26,000 lbs. or less, you can operate that and also tow a trailer with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 10,000 lbs. or less on a Basic Class C license. However, if your company requires you to have a hazmat endorsement, then you must have a CDL, period. In which case, you would need a Class C CDL.

How much weight can be loaded over each axel on a flat bed semi?

Without requiring a permit, a standard five axle unit is permitted a gross weight of 80,000 lbs. Typically, this is defined as 12000 on the steer axle, 34000 on the drive axles, and 34000 on tandem trailer axles. You can have a gross of 40000 lbs. on the trailer axles if the trailer has a 10' spread between the axles, and the steer axle can gross up to 20000 lbs, IF the axle and tires are rated for it. However, the max gross weight of the vehicle remains 80,000.

How many miles will a 18 wheeler get per tank of diesel fuel?

That depends on the size of the fuel tanks, MPG, terrain, driver controls such as idle time, whether the truck is loaded or empty. Some trucks weight up to as much as 80,000 pounds fully loaded. An empty flat bed truck weighs about 30,000 pounds. 18 wheelers can average 5-7 MPG depending on the variables and can travel an average 1000 miles or more before refueling.

Whats the second fastest 4 wheeler?

the GG Quad made in Switzerland. Starting with a modern BMW flat twin motorcycle of 1150cc, Gruter and Gut have evolved a machine that is somewhere between an open wheeler and a motorcycle, with motorcycle-like controls and a very healthy power-to-weight ratio for any four wheeler - 100 brake horsies pushing just 375 kilograms. In gearing the bike down to push the extra weight, top speed has been reduced significantly to just 115 mph
