1. it490- 5 speed....yz490 4 speed. 2. yz490 has lighter, balanced crankshaft. this motor spins easier and higher, however, this is what causes the vibration as a yz/it piston is a heavy thing. 3. Same cases. 4. yz piston has slightly higher dome (more compression) 5. yz barrell has bigger exhaust port, however barrels are interchangeable. 6. 40 mill carby for yz- it has 38 mill. these are interchangeable. there may be more differences, i havent really checked properly, however there is interchangeability as mentioned.
No. The 83 has a single front downtube and the 86 has a double downtube.
YES! The only difference between a 250 and a 250f is that one is 2stroke and the other is a four stroke.

Yes it will. The 1984 yz490 and the 1985 yz490 are identical bikes other than the front disc brakes.

The top speed of a 1982 Yamaha YZ 490 is approximately 90 to 95 miles per hour, depending on factors like rider weight and terrain. This bike was known for its powerful two-stroke engine and lightweight design, making it a competitive motocross machine of its time. However, actual speeds can vary based on modifications and riding conditions.
They are 8 years apart they changed the frame in that amount of time I would mesure the size and locations of the holes on both the engine and the frame but my bet is that it won't work, there is a big difference between the styling on a 1992 to 2000.
The 125 has half the engine size and therefore goes slower and doesn't have as much power. The frames are both full moto cross size and so they are interchangable to my knolage but the chain and back sproket would need to be changed to the right size.
