Multiply the price at the gas station by 0.264. If gasoline costs $3.81 per gallon, you're paying about $1 per litre. (intuitively, one litre is only barely larger than a US quart, so it may be easier to just divide the price of gasoline, by the gallon, by four...i.e. 0.264 roughly equals 0.25)
