Hard acceleration is not that hard on the car. It is hard on the wallet as it will eat 4 times as much fuel. Having said that, WOT acceleration time after time will usually take out your transmission first as they always seem to be the weakest link.
Try changing the fuel filter.
hard to start misfires idles rough or not at all lack of power or acceleration poor fuel economy
Hard starting, loss of power, poor fuel mileage, and a blowing sound under full acceleration.
Loss of power, poor fuel mileage, hard starting, a blowing sound under acceleration.
You need to check the fuel pump.
there are many reasons why an engine could be hard on fuel, but the main reasons that are driver related are hard acceleration, incorrect gear, and braking. (the last one doesn't use any fuel, but it removes the energy built up, which has to be regained to get back up to speed)
Hard starting, loss of power, poor fuel mileage, a blowing sound under hard acceleration, and the converter will get very, very, hot.
replace the fuel filter and the accelerator cable to the throtle body
