P0125: insufficient coolant temperature for closed loop fuel control you need an ECT sensor engine coolant temperature
P0125 is about coolent temp. sensor the problem is not the coolent sensor. When you have lazy Oxygen sensor you get this code. It is sensor 1 but you need to find out which bank, the only way you can find this out by snapon scanner.
P0125 Insufficient Coolant Temperature for Closed Loop Fuel Control. I would drain and flush the cooling system and replace the thermostat. It may be stuck partially open which will cause this condition.
p0050 is related to an O2 sensor heated circuit problem p0125 is related to a coolant temp sensor not reading the spec. temp in a certain time limit
Code PO125: Insufficient coolant temp for closed loop fuel control. This means that the voltage from the temperature sensor is lower than expected, and is being ignored. The fuel management system stays at default settings similar to a cold start. The oxygen sensor is not being used to adjust the fuel mix and the fuel mix will likely be on the rich side. Also, depending on the system, the intake air pre-heater may stay on. Causes: 1. Coolant temperature too low, engine does not come up to temperature; Thermostat stuck open, or missing. 2. Temperature sensor failed. If your engine appears to be warming up ok, then it is likely the temperature sensor. Typically, coolant temperature sensors may fail within 4 to 5 years. Your engine may have 2 temperature sensors: one for the fan, and another for the fuel management system. Consult a repair manual.
PO125 means insufficient coolant temp for closed loop fuel control. Test the temperature sensor and replace the thermostat. 7 year old car so it is time for a complete service of the cooling system. Drain, flush, replace thermostat, pour in a 50/50 mix of the correct antifreeze and distilled water, & bleed air from system.
i have a 95 impreza and i just got the same dtc ( po115) along with po114 wich was my 02 sensor. So most likely the fuel loop problem is being caused by the coolant sensor and once that is replaced the other problem should subside. Similar to my 02 sensor dtc, wich i believe is being caused by the excess gas being used from the faulty coolant sensor
