Any 4 cylinder vehicle is economical to run. Toyota has an excellent reputation for fuel economy and reliability.
In the long run, its not the vehicle to uses up the fuel its the driver..
Any vehicle will use alot of fuel if you drive it hard.
Modern v8 engines use much less fuel if you drive sensibly.
This not only saves fuel but tires, oil, co2 emmisions...etc.
In short there is no cheapest car to run, they cost money just sitting there. Just remember to drive sensibly.
