You can store a vehicle for many different reasons. Wintering over a classic or maybe storing a racing car. Each situation will have different requirements that will justify the cost.

Do you want access in and out?

Does it have to be climate controlled?

Do you need a garage space to work on said vehicle?

Do you want an insured building?

The cost will depend on your needs. If you want a barn somewhere to place your car for a few months with no in and out access that is not climate controlled, that will cost much less per month than if you want a climate controlled garage, where you can go every weekend to take your car in and out.

Take into consideration the demographic as well. If you are located in an urban area, storing your car will be much more cost effective in a rural area.
