The X-Seed 4000 is a futuristic outer-stratosphere skyscraper which aims to be 4,000 metres (13,123 ft.) tall. It will be located in Tokyo, Japan, and it will have a 6 km2 (3.7 mi2) sea-base, which means it will be built in the sea. The design of the building, proposed by Taisei Corporation in 1995, was taken from Mount Fuji, and it will measure 224 metres more than the tallest peak in Japan! The 800-floor architectural marvel will run on solar energy and is able to accomodate about 500,000 to 1,000,000 people. Its building cost is estimated at a whopping US$300 to 900 billion, however it will most likely not be built due to its height and other factors, such as air pressure gradations, temperature, air and light conditions at the top of the building.
