The Homelite trimmer UT20930 requires a fuel mixture of 50:1, which means you should mix 2.6 ounces of 2-cycle oil with one gallon of unleaded gasoline. Always use fresh, high-quality gasoline and ensure the oil is specifically formulated for 2-cycle engines. Mixing the fuel properly is essential for optimal engine performance and longevity.
If it starts and dies after a very short while, look for a fouled spark plug (flooding), clogged fuel filter (fuel starvation), clogged air filter (flooding), or fuel settings on the carburetor (flooding or fuel starvation).
a few things, carb. needs adjustment, blocked fuel line or small filter in tank clogged, or air intake filter clogged..not too much else. Sometimes there is a small filter attached to fuel line in tank.
