Well, the fuel pump is inside the fuel tank. It may very well be that your pump is what's making the noise.
fuel pump getting wore out
it is the fuel pump because it is located in gas tank normal sound
There are a number of reasons why your car may make noise when filled with over half tank gas. The main problem is caused by the fuel pump or the fuel injector.Ê
Champagne is a solution. When bubbles come off, they are carbon dioxide gas coming out of solution, so the bubbling champagne is a solution with bubbles of gas in it. The champagne is still a solution, but the bubbles are not part of it any more.
The fuel pump is engaged.
try checking the gas tank mounting bolts. the one under the gas tank closest to the front of your seat was where the high pitched noise was coming from. tightened it and problem solved. it did sound like it was coming from the engine ,but it wasn't.
check for a hole in gas tank. or seal on top of gas tank or hoses going and coming from tank.
Yes it is reversible, for example bubbling something on the gas or reversible you can just turn the gas off. So bubbling something is reversible.
What is the humming and vibrating noise coming from the passenger side rear from a small motor that is visible under the gas tank? is this another question????? or the answer to the question?????
Cause the gas tank houses the (prepare yourself for this one) gas!
Im not 100% sure. but i have a 97 Monte Carlo. and i think i have isolated the sound to the gas tank expanding and contracting. it has a plastic gas tank, and the sound sounds similar to a plastic drum/barrel/container clunking from expanding/contracting.
