A vacuum leak can do that. Check the gasket at the base of the throttle body for leaks. It was common for that gasket to crack and allow a vacuum leak. With the engine running, spray carb cleaner around the base of the throttle body. If the idle changes briefly while you are spraying that area you have found the leak.
Check for a leak at the wax ring of the toilet. This leak will migrate out, on the surface or under the surface of the floor. Check for a leak in the wall in the back of the vanity (the vanity may have to be removed). A slow leak in a wall is likely to be the DWV system, not water.

most vacuum leaks are in hoses that are disconnected or have holes in them you can also take a bottle of water and spray it along the side of the intake and base of the carborater if the motor bogs or you here it suck the water in you have found you leak but it can be a leak under the intake and that is a bigger problem to find buy a can of starting fluid and spray it near the gasket and vacuum hoses and if the engine increases its rpm that is where the leak is
A common source is the Wiper arm pivot seals. Or could be the base of the windshield under the rubber weatherstrip.
