The engine depends on what year of truck you are talking about but as far as the 60's and 70's go. The Dodge D100 came with a 170 cubic inch slant 6, the more popular 225 cubic inch slant 6, and from there it jumped to a v8 the 318, 360 or 361 depending on the year and from there it went to a big block 383 optional.
points .020 spark plugs .035. and Dodge did not have a v6 then only a slant 6

The point gap in a 1972 d100 varies. For the 225 slant 6 cylinder the point gap is.017- .023. For the 318cid, 360cid, 400cid and 413cid engines the gap is .014- .019.

It depends on which engine you have, Slant 6's and 318 & 360 can have A904 or A727 for the automatics and all the big block 440''s use the 727
