Son, you're full of crap! I'll teach you! On pickuptrucks.com, the Ford F-150 got an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5 while the Toyota Tundra got an overall rating of 3.8 out of 5. Who's better there? Those are consumer reviews!!!
Next, Mike Levine and the pickuptrucks.com Team named the Ford F-150 the best all-around full-size truck. And it is no doubt!
The Tundra is the total LOSER in the pickup truck games. Well, they beat Nissan but Nissan is crap too. The Tundra does not have the largest motor, the Chevy does with the 6.2L 'Vortec' V8. The Ford F-150 has the most options. Tow mirrors, heated/cooled leather seats, fully boxed frame, tailgate step, side access steps, Voice-Activated SYNC by Microsoft, Navigation Systems, Sirius Satellite Radio, AM/FM Sterio, wheel sizes ranging from 17" to 22", 3 V8 Engine choices, standard 4.6L V8 engine, 21 miles per gallon, a new 6-speed automatic Transmission. Who's the winner? FORD IS!!!!
The Tundra DOES NOT have the largest towing capacity in its class. The Tundra can tow 10,350 pounds, while the Ford F-150 can tow 11,300 pounds. Then Chevy Silverado can tow 10,800 pounds and Dodge Ram can tow 10,400 pounds, then the Titan can tow 8,900 pounds.
The Tundra DOES NOT have more customization options. The Ford F-150 has the following trims: XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, FX4, SVT Raptor, King Ranch, Platinum, and Harley Davidson. And on the way for the 2011 F-150 is the Lariat Limited trim. And, you can get so many different options on each trim of F-150 than you can't possibly name them all. Now, how many trim levels does the Tundra have? THREE!!!!
The Ford F-150 has the largest cab in its class. The SuperCrew models feature a fully flatload floor for loading things like large TVs, tool boxes, tools, or if your wife needs to go shopping, groceries!!!!! The Ford F-150 has 6" more of cab space than the 04 to 08 F-150. And, it has 6.5" more of rear space than the Toyota Tundra.
Has the Toyota Tundra ever been named Motor Trend's Truck of the Year? NOPE!!! The 2009 Ford F-150 was named Motor Trend's Truck of the Year. Now, there is new engines coming for the 2011 Ford F-150. Like the 305 horsepower 3.7L V6. Or the 380 horsepower 3.5L Direct Injected Turbo Charged V6 engine, or the 5.0L 'Coyote' V8 that is supposed to make 425 horsepower! So, the 2011 Motor Trend Truck of the Year is probably going to be the F-150 or Super Duty AGAIN!!!!
