It is in the back of the transfur case were the driveshaft goes in. If it is a 4x4 If not a 4x4 then it is in the tail shaft housing on the back of the transmission were the driveshaft goes in.
The speed sensor and the ABS sensor are combined on a 6 speed Mondeo TDCI. It is located above the OS driveshaft.

The encoder motor sensor is found inside the front of the transfer case. The sensor motor assembly is removed with 3 - 15mm bolts after the front driveshaft and electrical connector are disconnected. The encoder motor sensor is under the big gear on the back of that assembly plate.
