I think you are actually looking for an SR-22. This is something you purchase through your auto insurance (mostly required by a court). Th SR-22 is a filing by your Auto Insurance, on behalf of you (insured), to the state Department of Motor Vehicles/ Public Safety(Texas). This proves to the State you have insurancee. This filing is usually requsted by a court, usually as a result of a failure to maintain financial responsibiity. Usual for repeat offenses. However, sometimes could be required on the first offense.
