Open the driver's door and there will be a removable panel on the side of the dashboard (there is a small hole to help you to open it). The fuses are located under this panel and there should be a very confusing diagram on a card to help you.
The check gauges warning is an additional warning to the driver that something is not right. If you see this warning, be sure to survey all the indicators on your instrument panel...especially oil pressure and engine temperature. If you see anything you're not sure of, err on the side of safety and pull off the road, shut down the engine and seek help.
NEXT TO THE BATTERY IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, THE OTHE IS THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DRIVER FEET ON THE SIDE PANEL AND THE OTHER ONE IS PASSENGER SIDE RIGHT PANEL. HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU.
My 1997 A6 wagon has a fuse box on the SIDE of the DASHBOARD where the driver's door meets the dash board. Open the driver's door and look for a panel that comes off. Hopefully this will help.

The year, make and model would help but with some vehicles all the dash cluster gauges are protected with one fuse.
The basic instruments used in meteorology measure the current state of the atmosphere, and include anemometers (wind gauges), thermometers, and barometers. These measure air flow, temperature, and air pressure.
To take the driver's side door panel off, there is a screw that you remove where the door handle is and also where the little plastic holder looking thing on the door arm rest. You just remove those 2 screws and lift the door panel up and off the door lock. Feel free to ask anymore questions and I will try and help you the best I can.. Thank you...
factual panel
check the gauges, disconnect the sending unit wires and see if the gauges go up, if not it is the gauges, make sure the key is on
It sounds as if the master control panel on the driver's door got wet.
