To bleed the cooling system on a TDDI Mondeo, start by ensuring the engine is cool and the radiator cap is removed. Fill the expansion tank to the maximum level and run the engine until it reaches operating temperature, allowing the thermostat to open. Keep the heater on to ensure coolant circulates through the system. As air bubbles escape, top off the coolant as needed, then replace the radiator cap once all air is purged and the level stabilizes.
The Ford Focus 1.8 TDDI does not have a manual diesel fuel pump reset button like some gasoline vehicles do. Instead, it relies on an electric fuel pump located in the fuel tank, which is controlled by the engine management system. If you're experiencing fuel delivery issues, it's recommended to check for any fault codes or inspect the fuel system components rather than looking for a reset button.
If it's anything like mine, it's a cream brown coloured square box slightly bigger than a matchbox, about 3 pins in it & it's near the centre bumper, in the engine behind the grill.
does the tddi have an oil pump? -oil pump is internal within the engine. oil pump failure would make the oil pressure light come on and tell you to stop the car before the engine seizes completely. the most common reason for oil pressure failure is big end bearings becoming worn allowing oil to pass through which makes the oil pump struggle like hell, take the sump off and have a proper look, clean out all oil ways, check bearings. if bearings are worn its likely that you'll end up changing the entire block or scrapping the car.
