When a car makes a whining sound when accelerating, it might be a fan belt that is not performing properly. If the fan belt is reasonably new, add a few drops of dish soap to the inside to quiet it. If the fan belt is showing signs of wear, like cracks or slack, put on a new fan belt. Also, check the air cleaner. If the air cleaner is missing, the car will make a horrible squealing noise when accelerating.
The reason your car is whining is because your car is low on tramission fluid. but i have checked my transmission fluid..? do i need to flush it out and get new transmission fluid?
My CJ7 also makes this noise. I think it is supposed to make that sound at a higher speed (5-20 MPH)
Could be your fuel filter or fuel pump.
IT is your CV Joints which is making this noise.
Check your power steering fluid level. If low...add. Listen for the area from which the whining comes from. Could be the A/C compressor as well
whining
A worn out clutch release bearing would cause a whining sound when you put your foot on the clutch.
Answerif it's a whining noise you may need to check your power steering fluid level. I had this same problem. And if I am thinking of the same straining noise your talking about. Mine sounded like a noise like wet rubber was rubbing hard together? is that the same sound? if it is the same sound, I had to put new front struts in my 1999 Dodge Avenger and it didnt make the sound anymore.
Possibly a worn out universal joint.
yea mine makes a funny vibrating noise when i accelerate hard, but it doesnt make it if i accelerate gently? i have no idea sorry
Your child in the backseat.
possibly your wheel bearing is on its way out
