You could be leaking coolant, your blower fan might not be working, etc.

When a car emits steam, I look for the place where the steam is coming from. I usually think two different problems are happening at the same time.
If coolant is leaking from a car it means that your radiator has a hole in it. If this is not fixed the car will over heat.
It shields the rest of the car from the heat of the exhaust or radiator .
check your fluids it is probably low on antifreeze and if it still does it change your thermostat that should fix the problem
If you mean engine coolant is getting into the car, the heater core is leaking coolant causing the coolant level to drop and that causes the engine to over heat.
Car overheats, your heat in your car stops working
Your question is not clear...
when the car overheats or you have poor heat coming out of the heater.
takes the heat away from engine low coolant??
your car overheats. Your oil is not going through the cylinders creating lots of heat
it means that the car wasnt overheated enough to gt to that point
Be sure the thermostat is not installed backwards.
Each car overheats at a different temperature you need to look up and find out on the internet
your cooling fan is not operating correctly
YES
clean rad & cond at the car wash see if that wont help
Shorts out and overheats or has too much resistance for some other reason and overheats.
