All Wheel Drive
i know what 4x4 means if thats what you mean. 4x4 means 4 wheel drive or AWD(all wheel drive).
AWD stands for All Wheel Drive which is a system in many vehicles in which there is both front and rear wheel drive. Unlike with 4x4, all wheel drive can not be selceted but instead is constant in all weather conditions.
AWD is All Wheel Drive. Like Four wheel drive but it is always engaded. VSC i dont know what it is
There are no AWD Monte Carlos.
There were front wheel drive and All Wheel Drive ( AWD ) versions of the Mercury Milan available
When a car is advertised as AWD it means it is all wheel drive. AWD systems are basically a full time 4-wheel-drive system. This means all four wheels receive torque from the engine simultaneously.
All wheel drive also known as 4 wheel drive.
FWD only gives power to front wheels and four wheel drive all the wheels get power to it. Now just if its AWD doesnt mean you get better power or acceleration if you know how to kick off with a clutch on your FWD can kick AWD cars butt. AWD gets better mpg because it uses less power then four wheel drive and AWD is alot better to drive during winter then RWD because weight of engine pushes down on wheels giving you grip. But AWD all the way for the winter driving.
