- create enough static pressure that some of the flexible rubber hoses do not collapse while the engine operates.
- keep that pressure below a level that will cause failure
- on what are older cars now, allow the cooling system to draw coolant from the overflow system

How do you remove Gas cap assembly 2001 Town Car?
Apply a downward pressure on the cap while twisting it counterclockwise. When the cap assembly is off there will be an opening, this is where you stick the pump nozzle to put gas in the car.
