If you mean a 1998 Kennedy half dollar, the coin has no silver in it and is worth face value.

If you mean a 1971-D half dollar, it's just 50 cents.
His name was John Fitzgerald Kennedy, and the marking on the half dollar is the designer's initials.
There's no such coin as a half quarter. If you mean the quarter, it shows George Washington. If you mean the half dollar, it's John F. Kennedy.
The design is an adaptation of the Presidential Seal, and was used for the reverse design in honor of Kennedy's service as president.
No Kennedy half dollars dated 1982 are silver, those are 50 cents. But if you mean a 1982 George Washington commemorative half dollar, this coin is about $14.00.
Or it’s just y2 or j2....
Please be more specific about the "Knot" and post new question.
If you really mean 1965, that is a Kennedy half dollar and would only be worth melt which at the moment is about $3.15, if you mean 1865 which would be a seated liberty half dollar the situation becomes more tricky, for one, old coins are extremely dependent on condition, do not clean the coin that is the number one killer of value when it comes to old coins like this. But it really depends on the condition and mintmark, it is certainly valuable, but how much depends on the condition. A mint-state 1865 half dollar would be worth easily over $100, however one in poor condition might only be worth $20.
You most likely mean a kennedy half dollar with the date 1776-1976, such coins are common and unless in mint packaging are only worth 50 cents.
Washington is on the quarter, and Kennedy is on the half. Whichever coin you mean, it's worth face value.
