You have to be careful when installing power converters in your car. Installing the wrong type could blow up your speakers or not give them enough power to work properly which will in turn damage them.

Hole in the muffler or converter then NO, do not drive this vehicle as there is a danger of carbon monoxide entering the cabin and causing you to go to sleep and have an accident. It has no smell, or taste so you will not know it is present.Clogged converter is also a no, no. This will cause engine damage. Bottom line is get it repaired whatever the problem.
Research the country that you are visiting. You will need to the voltage for the country and the pattern of the outlet. Using the wrong voltage can damage the device being used and the wrong pattern will not fit the socket.
