blue/white= oil white=antifreeze black=fuel
smoke loss of power
if the smoke is black it may be that it is runing rich. on the other hand if it is bluish in color it may be a sign that the piston rings are starting to show wear.
Replacement piston rings.
you most likely have bad piston rings or in a overhead cam you might need to rebuild the topend
The engine would smoke and damage the bores.
Piston rings or Rich oil .
Oh, dude, piston rings don't just randomly decide to align themselves during operation and start a smoke show. If your engine is smoking, it could be due to worn-out piston rings not sealing properly, allowing oil to enter the combustion chamber and burn. So, technically, yeah, misaligned piston rings could contribute to engine smoke, but it's usually a sign of bigger issues.
The Piston rings are probably worn causing oil to get into the combustion chamber which causes smoke when burned
broken piston rings maybe and oil gettin into the piston chamber.. too much oil maybe a blown head gasket... the smoke is steamy
Oil !
Engine "Blow-by" caused by excessive engine wear usually bad piston rings
Signs of bad piston and rings in a lawn mower engine include excessive smoke from the exhaust, particularly blue smoke, which indicates oil burning. Additionally, you might notice a loss of power or difficulty starting the engine, as well as increased oil consumption. If you hear knocking or rattling noises during operation, this may also indicate issues with the piston and rings. Lastly, check for oil leaks around the engine, which can signal worn rings or damaged piston components.
