Adding a 6th gear to a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 is not a straightforward modification and typically requires extensive mechanical work, including changes to the transmission system. Because the Vulcan 900 is designed with a specific gear ratio, retrofitting an additional gear would involve custom engineering and potentially significant costs. It’s often more practical to explore aftermarket solutions or consider a different model designed with a 6th gear. Always consult with a professional mechanic before attempting such modifications.
Classic and Nomad, Yes. Drifter, No.
Mechanical failures causes incorrect gear ratio in the VW Touareg. Lots of torque is what causes the incorrect gear ratio in VW Touareg.
Oil pump failure is rare , oil pump GEAR failure is quite common. It uses a plastic gear and is prone to wear. I just replaced one on a friends 96 Vulcan 88. Not very difficult if using Judges POG replacement . If using OEM gear then it is a monster of a job involving engine dis assembly . Strongly recomend going to the Gadget forums and researching Judges POG gear replacement.
Low Fluid level. If the car has a three-speed automatic, the torque converter clutch solenoid is locked up. Unplug it from the transmission, and see if it still dies when put in gear.
Keep rpm between 1400 to 1600
low gear oil or gears are worn.
bog down in first gear and then it strtes to shift
check your crank gear it is worn out replace the gear and key
the metal wears down from the gear turning metal against metal
Pitting= Too high surface pressure on gear or lack of lubrication
