Weak battery or alternator output.
Your alternater might have to be replaced. Chances are your battery was not faulty. Your alternator most likely needs repairing or replacing.

your windshield wipers are stopping/slowing because the small wiper motor, attached to the upper-right corner of the firewall under the hood, is going bad. This happened in my car. Another reason could be that your 11-year-old alternator is going bad...It doesn't matter if the alternator is giving out too much power or too little power, it effects the wipers in the way you described.
They work by the sensor getting rain on it and if it is getting a lot on it then it will speed up the wipers and if it gets less then it will slow them down. Its on the top of your windshield right behind the mirror. ---- Yes, quite an obvious statement of fact; what the OP was hoping for was an answer to his question. ----
they move slow
they move a inch a month
Yes you can. I did it to my 91 s10 however you wont have control over your wiper speed since its only a two position switch on/off. I have a 3 position switch on/off/on one for slow and one for high however I have not tried this out yet.
Yes,because if a force is getting weaker it causes the speed to slow down but if the force is getting stronger it causes the object to move faster.
When matter is heated, its particles move faster. This increased kinetic energy causes the particles to vibrate and move more rapidly, leading to an increase in temperature.
