The casting block number indicates that it could have come from a number of vehicles that have a GM 350 small block from 1985 to 1997. Suburban, corvette, camaro, ect. The same block is also used on several marine applications
Engine block heaters were optional.
Hi I dont know if you are in SA, but in America they dont come out with an engine number! In SA they put the number on the driverside of the engine on the block next to the engine mounting bracket. It is very difficult to spot and you will be looking for a dotmatrix number! Duane
If your engine is a V6, you have to look along the engine where the head and block come togeather, right or left side. If a 4 cylinder, right side near the back of the engine block. dur to oil leakage or dirt build up, you my have to degrease the engine to be able to see the stamp markings.
Check the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on the block. Copy that number down exactly, and run it through a VIN Decder. See the link below for a VIN Decoder.
That block was used to build 302's, 327's, and 350's from 69-80.
it does not come with a block heater unless installed by a mechanic. if so, it will be in the engine block under the exhaust manifold. can see it from under the van
No it did not. It had a 350 engine in it.
Assuming you're referring to the small block Chevrolet V8 engine, 1957.
The block heater, on your 2001 C 15 Caterpillar diesel engine, can be removed by loosening the retaining nut. The block heater will easily come out. Reverse the process to install the new heater.
My 2500K has a 5.7l (350) big block.
they all come standard with the block heater. The Wiring Harness for the block heater is, however, optional.
