It doesnt really matter what brand you use, but once you start using one brand continue to keep using it. As well as the weight. (like 5w30, 10w30) Different oils have different detergent grades. Some are higher, and some are lower detergents. I would recommend either Castrol or Valvoline 5w-30. Once you hit 100,000 miles, switch to high milage oil, and make sure you keep it changed on schedule. It will keep your engine clean and run for a very long time.
One may purchase a 2007 Chevrolet HHR from the Auto Trader publication which has physical and online versions. One may also use Kijiji and Craigslist to buy an HHR.

Honda uses Honda brand oil, made by Exxon Mobil.

You do not have to use so-called ATV oil. ATV oil is the very same oil as used in your automobile. Use any major brand SAE oil in the correct weight. I recommend you use a 100% synthetic oil.
