The torque specs for the oil pan bolts are 105 inch lbs. Tighten all of the pan bolts snug to make sure everything lines up before tightening all of the bolts to spec.
1994 Service Manual states 13 ft lbs.
A majority of Transmisson Pan bolts torque to 10 - 13 Ft Lbs
Tighten the1/4 inch bolts 7-9 ft. lbs of torque, and the 5/16 bolts to 12 ft. lbs. torque.
torque specs for rod and oil pan on 2005 4.0
drain the oil from the vehicle, unbolt the oil pan, scrape old gasket from pan and crankcase. check the torque specifications for the oil pan bolts (shouldnt be very high). replace the gasket and oil pan to factory torque specs. put drain plug back in and fill with factory specs of oil.
The Haynes manual says the transmission pan bolts should be torqued to 10 ft/lbs.
