the torque you want to put on the water pump bolts are about 60 foot pounds of torque.
The bolts for the water pump are 3/8-16, so 45 ft./lbs.

The 1999 Ford Ranger 3.0 liter water pump bolt torque specifications are 40 pounds. You do not want to torque the bolts to hard or they will break.

heres the best advise i can give you,visit www.autozone.com they have online manuals and you can probably get the info you need from there,up to the year 2001.good luck www.boxwrench.com has the torque specs for all bolts of the motor.
You can find that in the haynes manual at auto zone.Its kinda hard to find but have patience you will find it.
