The negative effects of throwing away batteries is: The acid from the battery leaks and can usually kills animals and attribute to acid rain. Another way to say it: is that, you throw it away and the garbage truck picks it up and crushes it with all the chemicals inside and those chemicals get thrown in the dump. All the chemicals leak in the soil and it leads in the drain which leads to the sourer with leads the Lake Ontario or any nearby open space water. And that water is what you drink, Yea they clean it but some of it can probably still be in there.

What are the negative effects agriculture?

I can't see how agriculture in and of itself has negative effects, seeing as having food to eat is a great thing. However there are some practices employed by large farms that do have negative consequences. I'm not sure what scope you're talking about here since negative effects is vague but chemical runoff is one of the largest problems which I am away of. This is especially a problem when chemicals are over applied or not applied according to instructions.
