The I-Head engine has the intake and exhaust valves integrated into the head assembly. A flat head engine houses no moving parts. A common example of a flat head engine is a go-cart or lawn mower engine. Hope this helps

Is there a sound difference between a 1.6 liter engine with a carb and the same engine but fuel injected?

could be the sound of the air being drawn in that's different ie carb'd systems with no airbox or if they are flat side carburettors, the rattling sound alone is enough to tell you its got flatsides or the engine is damaged.

How expensive is it to replace a flywheel on a 2004 trailblazer?

Depends on the flat rate time. Flat rate time varies by location and type of shop you go to. Your vehicle has different engine types, different engines have different flat rate times, and it is possible to re-surface clutch which will incur a small fee from a machine shop, yet however save you the cost of buying a new flywheel. So: [(amount of hours for your type of engine) X (cost of flat rate hour price)] + (other parts) + (machine shop fee if aplicable) + (tax) = (cost)
