Vw polo 1997 keeps stalling when slowing down for lights etc took to kwik fit.they did a diagnostic test which came back unknown fault 0215 any suggestions?

For starts when was the last time you did tuneup to the car?
Code 0215 it looks like engine shutoff solenoid, may be bad solenoid or short on wires or ignition switch.
Most likely it might be the gas filter, the gum from the gas is sticking to the filter and restrict the flow.
Some times is a vacuum hoses disconnected or cracked.
