Trailblazer LT 2004 Recently a rattling noise is coming from the engine- it sounds more like an old tractor than a car you replaced belt and tentioner but this has not helped- any ideas?

I don't know about a tentioner? Tensioner? But apparantly a flux capacitor can cause your vehicle to jump time. At least it worked on Emmit's Deloreon!

If it is a 4cyl then no. It has an upper and lower timing chain. If it is a 6cyl then yes. It has a timing belt, an idler, and a belt tentioner that all should be replaced at the same time.
