CHECK THE EXHAUST.MINE WAS HITTING THE BODY AT BOTTOM OF REAR FENDER
Could be many things, ball joints usually make clunking noises (usually one when turning and one when turning the wheel from turning), cv joints usually make a clicking noise and vibrate under load. Have it checked out, les schwab will do it for free (check it).
soounds like steering wheel fluid needs to up
A clunking noise when turning and stopping can be caused by several issues, including worn or damaged suspension components, such as bushings or ball joints, which can lead to excessive play in the system. Additionally, problems with the CV joints or axle shafts can result in clunking sounds during turns. Loose or damaged exhaust components may also contribute to the noise when the vehicle shifts weight during stopping. It's advisable to have a mechanic inspect the vehicle to identify and resolve the underlying issue.
YEP IT WILL AND MIGHT HERE A CLICKING NOISE WHEN TURNING ALSO
If the noise keeps going as you turn it's PROBABLY CV joints. If it's just one "pop", then it's probably a worn or loose suspension component. I'd suspect the strut.
it could be that your exhaust pipe is lose, i saw a Forester (a litttle newer than that) with the same problem.
