if the 165k miles are mostly highway miles.

If you are buying a car to go to school or work, and you really like the car. take it to your neighborhood mechanic so they can inspect the vehicle you may have to pay a pre-purchase inspection fee. typically 40-80 dollars. but it is worth it because you will know what are some future problems you may have with the car later on down the road that could cost you a lot of money.
