I heard it was an intermediate steering shaft and cost around 130.00 dollars
could be a contant velocity joint
you might want to check your left side wheel bearings

If it pops when turning it is most likely the CV joints.
The loud noise from the AC when turning off is often caused by the sudden release of built-up pressure in the system as the compressor shuts down. This pressure release can create a loud "whooshing" or "popping" sound.
