YES
If you are losing coolant, you probably have a bad cylinder head gasket. Too much coolant system pressure will drop your engine oil pressure.
Yes, it can. It measures the engine oil pressure and if it fails, the pressure can come through it losing oil.
Im losing engine power in my 2003 CTS?
People losing fingers by not shutting off the disposal when trying to make repairs
Losing a small quantity over a considerable time is not unusual, but if you are using alot like over a week say, then something definitely wrong.Check for small leaks around all hoses and if engine heats up too quickly or if there are signs of over-heating.
Tighten it up!
When a Hyundai is losing compression in its engine the car will not run properly. Symptoms of low compression are misfires, stalls, and overheating.
What happens first? Pressure/Engine Dying? Has the oil always been changed? If not oil will form sludge, when the oil is finally changed, the detergent in the new oil breaks free the sludge which can get sucked into the oil pump intake. this would cause an immediate loss of oil pressure and engine issues. Thats been my experience with sudden oil pressure loss issues. Dan
That is the correct spelling of "leaking" (losing fluid or pressure).
A leak, a poor connection or it is burning it.
Check fuel pressure when it's bogged down like that. If the pressure drops it could be the fuel filter or the fuel pump. Unfortunately, if it's the filter it won't necessarily drop in pressure until you're driving.
