most likely the clutch & pressure plate is shot.
80/90 gear lube
5w-30 is the only thing you can use in an Isuzu manual transmission. The way it is designed, if you use 80-90w gear oil, it will burn up the top half of the tranny and the same for the transfer case :)
a noisy second gear in your transmission is that your second gear might have broken gear tooth which is mostly the problem with my cars.either the second gear on the counter gear or the second gear itself.
In a 1997 Isuzu Trooper, gear oil is typically added to the manual transmission through the fill plug located on the side of the transmission housing. For the rear differential, you can find the fill plug on the differential case. Make sure to use the recommended type and viscosity of gear oil specified in the owner’s manual. Always check the levels with the vehicle on a level surface for accuracy.
If you clutch is working fine then try to change the gear fluid in the transmission. My Isuzu shifted hard to and the fluid changed helped alot
If your transmission is manual, you will have to change gear. If it is automatic, you won't.
To identify the type of transmission in an Isuzu Rodeo, check the owner's manual for specifications related to the vehicle's model year and trim. You can also look for a transmission designation on the transmission itself, usually found on a metal tag or stamped onto the casing. Additionally, examining the gear shift layout can help; an automatic transmission typically has a PRNDL pattern, while a manual will feature a gear stick with a different arrangement. Finally, you can consult the vehicle identification number (VIN) for specific details about the transmission type.
Yeah just make sure you have it in neutral. I've heard of people leaving a manual transmission in gear and trying that and actually blowing up the transmission.
the synchronize in the transmission is bad, that why the jumping out of fifth gear
The 2001 Isuzu Rodeo typically uses automatic transmission fluid (ATF) that meets the requirements of Dexron III or Mercon specifications. It's important to check the owner's manual for the specific transmission type and any manufacturer recommendations. For manual transmissions, the appropriate gear oil is usually 75W-90 or 80W-90, but again, consulting the manual is best for confirmation.
A 1997 Isuzu NPR typically uses automatic transmission fluid (ATF) for its automatic transmission. It's important to check the vehicle's owner manual for the specific type of ATF recommended, as some models may require a specific grade or formulation. For manual transmissions, gear oil is usually recommended. Always consult the manual or a professional for the best guidance on fluid specifications.
3,because the gear ratio in a manual transmission results is a gear ratio of about 3:1 for first gear.
