Yes, there is a difference between the C1500 and K1500 starters. The C1500 refers to a two-wheel drive version of the Chevrolet C/K series trucks, while the K1500 refers to the four-wheel drive variant. Although both may use similar starter designs, the specific starter motor might differ due to variations in mounting or electrical requirements based on the drivetrain configuration. Always check compatibility with the specific model year and engine type when replacing starters.
C= rwd k=4x4
c1500 is 2 wheel drive.k1500 is 4 wheel drive.
K is for 4 wheel drive C is for 2 wheel drive
A Silverado C1500 is a 2WD light truck, K1500 is a 4WD light truck. Please clarify what you mean about the r and the v as I am unfamiliar with that coding.
K indicates 4WD, C indicates 2WD.
