Say your kids haven't had food for a couple of days, stealing food would be justified, or if you break into a hardware store to steal fire extinguishers because there is a fire nearby, or if there is a medical emergency and you are out in the mountains where there are no ambulances, then stealing a car to transport someone to the hospital would be justified (as long as it eventually got back to its owner).
