It is not a good idea to drive with two feet on an automatic transmission unless your stopped on a hill. In that case you would press the brake with your left foot and the gas just a little with your right foot.
absolutely!
Absolutely not.
An automatic transmission needs no manual shifting - a continuously variable transmission needs no manual shifting. Based on those parameters I believe that you are okay.
Only use what is specified in the user's manual. For manual, use Nissan Matic D; for automatic, use Nissan Automatic Transmission fluid. Dextron is also an okay choice per the manual.
Automatic transmission- check the fluid level. Level okay? Then you have a serious problem. Manual Transmission- You've burned out the clutch. Replace the clutch disk.
Is this an automatic or manual transmission?
the gear reverse don't work in the transmission, the tothers gears okey. This actually happened to me once. A piece inside the transmission had actually broken off, and there was no way to fix it other than to replace the transmission. Sorry.
For short distances it's okay; just put it in neutral. If I was going across country with a Bus on a dolly I'd disconnect the CV axles to protect the transmission.
generally speaking, reverse will take a lot more fluid pressure to shift into than forward gears. so first you check to make sure that your transmission fluid is at the proper level and also that it isn't contaminated or burnt up. If your transmission fluid is fine and at it's proper level. (you have to check it with the engine warmed up, and depending on your transmission, have it in neutral or park when you check the level) if that's okay, it could be a number of different problems and you will be best off having a knowledgeable mechanic diagnose it for you.
if you have 4x4 you can pull 1500 pounds but even if you do have 4x4 i suggest getting a transmission cooling system from uhaul if you have an automatic transmission because even though it says its okay to tow, if your tracker did NOT come with a tow package from the factory (which none of them did) then you need the transmission cooling system or you will fry your transmission and damage your transfer case.
Contaminated air filter and or MAF sensor? Internal pressure loss in transmission?
