5w-40 full synthetic is the recommendation on their web site. They do say if not avail. and depending on season, 5w-30 or 0-40w is ok.
SAE 5W-30
no it is not ok because they are two different oils and it can mess up your engines
Yes but not recommended, diesel oil is alot thicker (15w-40) and most cars today are designed for (5w-20, 5w-30) if you had to add 1 and it was the only oil, it is ok
No, 5w30 is a higher grade so itshould be Ok.
Most likely your crankshaft position sensor. Starts out fine, then dies after 30 mins or so? Sit for 30, then ok? 40 bucks autozone
No it is OK to go thiner like 0w-20 if there was but not thicker, the oil wont get into tight spots.
As long as it is the manufacturer's recommended viscosity of 5w-30 the brand doesn't matter.
If the enigine calls for 5w-30 then the only real reason that you switch to a thicker viscosity is to lessen oil leaks? If yes, than there is nothing wrong with that.
Synthetic oil is NOT recommended for use in that application. It may cause the clutches to slip.
Can 99 jeep run ok with-out catalic converter
Use the weight of oil the manufacture recommends while under warranty. Ford Uses 5w-20 for gas mileage considerations and having closer tolerences on their engines? You could probably get away with 10-40 in the summer ,but return to a 5-30 or 5-40 winter
