It could be you have a thermostat that has gone bad, in most cars it is located on the water pump and it is not necessary to have one unless you need heat in your car. Its been a wide practice in most hot climates that once it goes bad they just remove it and don't bother replacing it.
Your cooling fan is not engaging turning on perhaps checking the wires to the fan and making sure power is getting to it. May be the fan clutch or whole fan itself, possibly a thermostat or water pump check all of it
Check to make sure the fan clutch is engaging.
Could be clutch cooling fan engaging
If it has an electric fan, it could be malfunctioning.Or it could be the thermostat.lastly ,it could be a leaky or blown headgasket.
It's possible that your fan may not be kicking on. To check if your fan is working on your car, turn your air conditioner on, your fan should come on at that time. If it does, you may need to look at your censors that control your fan. Also, make sure that you do not have any leaks in your hoses leading from your motor to your radiator. Hope this helps!
try turning on the fan switch in the car
fuse, wiring.... how long do u let it run before turning it off??..I would look to the fan relay next. also the electric fan thermostat if the car has one
it depends on the car, but its usually a bad connection in the wires

Clogged radiator, bad water pump, defective fan or fan thermal relay.
This could be a safety feature to exhaust any fumes from gas or oil leaks from the engine compartment. Could be too that the A/C has been left "on" from the last time the car engine was run.
If the car is running hot, check the thermostat. You can test it by simply removing it and holding a cigarette lighter to the center. If it opens, then it is functioning properly. Check your anti-freeze levels. Check for leaks in your radiator, and check that your fan is turning on.
