Yeah you can. Im not sure which rules you abide by (for instance in NSW l plates cant go above 80 kmph but in QLD L plates do the road limit). But if your moving to NSW you need to re-do the learners test and get a NSW learners Licence.
You need 1 year and some few months to keep your permit until you will be able to get a license if you are already 16 and about to be 17 in a few months.
