Single point ordering is when, during an incident or event, resources are ordered from only one point. For example, if there was a building collapse, all resource ordering may go through the jurisdiction's emergency operations center for fulfillment. Whereas, at a different incident such as a car accident, the police department may order resources from their police dispatcher and EMS and fire departments may order resources through their dispatchers. This is known an multi-point ordering.
