Usually less than a hundred dollars. But, this is one of those areas where a less than honest mechanic can have a hey day at your expense. Often a vacuum leak is simply a cracked hose or fitting and can be reapired or replaced for a few dollars. Sometimes it can be a little more serious like a manifold gasket or something like that. So, I would advise you to have at least two different mechanics from two different shops look at it for you to make certain you don't get burned. I wouldn't just automatically trust the dealer either. Those guys work on commission and are no longer trustworthy.
