How much does it cost to ship a car from NZ to Samoa?

Well when i was in Samoa last I asked the same question to Samoa port authority and the customs folk. They were useless. On the phone one lady said 2000ST duty after the $4000 shipping fee from chch (PFL shipping which was cheapest) then I asked if I could have a list of the prices as they vary depending on the cc rating of the car and the age of the car too. She said to come to meet her to get the forms... when I got down to port they said that I would have to write to the CEO to release that information as it was classified. After some banter, I told her to ...well i said some swear words. In the end, a relative is going to swap some beer for it to come through for free.
